A suggestion?

VFTT is great! Love the forums. Love the addition of the paddling forum for interested members.

Would it be possible to set up another? For cycling?

I can think of at least 3 people who would like the idea, and Darren is one of them!

There are already several very good forums devoted solely to skiing. That's where most of us skiers hang out. I don't think a forum here would have the critical mass to be worth it.

I'm only aware of Telemarktips. What are the other good ones?

(actually, I think I registered for another bc ski forum last year, but I can't remember the name . . . I guess I've had too many years skiing without a helmet )

I dont think there will be enough posts to justify a bike forum. Again, there is nothing wrong with mtb posts in the forums. It is just as much a backcountry activity as is hiking or xc skiing. Road bike posts are ok if it is about a long touring route or as road biking pertains to cross training for mtb or hiking. I'm not keen on posts with roadies counting grams and choosing the best spandex though...

Aloha

I'm a roadie and I built up a cross bike this fall. I likey.

I just built a ski rack for it, in fact, so I've been having fun with ski/bike combos in my 'hood.

You know better than any of us but as of lately there has been some pretty heavy traffic on the bike threads. (there isn't a heck of a lot of posts on the kayak forum either - don't get me wrong, I love the kayak forum. Oh, that's right...and so do you )

I'm not a big fan of spandex conversations either but as far as weight and clothing goes for example, VFTTers are always discussing ways to lighten there loads or whats the best material to wick moisture.

Just my two cents. I'll shut up now.
