Mt. Tom Trail

Date of Hike: 11/27/2009

Trail Conditions: Mostly Dry, a little muddy in some areas but nothing that wasn't passable.

Special Equipment Required: Orange hat since it is required this time of year by law. Hiking boots and poles are helpful.

Comments: Probably one of the most scenic hikes in RI. "Mount" is actually a misnomer since it is really a hill with ledges. But the views from those ledges into the Arcadia Land Management area are peaceful and serene.

RI does have some nice trails. They are short and for the most part uneventful compared to the Whites and the Daks, however they are in great shape since they get little use and very efficiently marked and blazed.
